Port Angeles is a small community with a population of about twenty thousand, enjoying a mild climate and varied recreational opportunities.
ourIn January 2008, the Lord prompted three families to begin meeting in one of the families’ home to listen to audio sermons dealing with the Doctrines of Grace. Thus God initiated Peninsula Bible Church. After six months and as the fellowship grew to six families, they realized the need for a larger venue. This led to rental of a local facility until the Lord provided our current church building which we purchased in 2015.
In the course of PBC’s growth, while attending the annual Shepherd’s Conference at Grace Community Church in California, the fledgling fellowship’s two elders sought the council of the leadership concerning hiring a teaching elder. As a result, Steve Hall became PBC’s first paid Pastor in August of 2009. Six months later Peninsula Bible Church was accepted as members of FIRE (Fellowship of Independent Reformed Evangelicals). Most recently, as of July of 2018, Jeff Gonzales has been called to PBC as our preaching pastor, |
Ministries of PBC include men's and women's ministries, youth and children ministries, biblical counseling and and missionary ministries, and Aletheia (a home school co-op). Church community activities we enjoy are our annual church picnic, harvest party, Christmas program, women’s sewing devotional day, and kids’ sew camp. We have held three Bible conferences with speakers such as Stuart Scott, Michael Grisanti and Tom Ascol. Hosting two regional FIRE Conferences in 2011 and 2015 were wonderful opportunities to get to know other like-minded churches and learn about their ministries. In 2013, it was a joy to help organize and host the National FIRE Conference with four other churches.

Currently the church supports a missionary family and many of our members are involved in various Christian ministries. The Lord blessed us with the opportunity to provide three interns with practical pastoral experience. They have since gone on to pastor their own congregations.
Presently (2019) we are operating with three elders and four deacons. We are a fellowship of diverse ages, ranging from three months old to seventy-four years old, with a predominance of young, growing families. |
PBC belongs to the Fellowship of Independent Reformed Evangelicals (FIRE). We affirm the five “Solas” of the Reformation: Scripture Alone, Grace Alone, Faith Alone, Christ Alone, to the glory of God Alone and adhere to the 1689 Baptist Confession of Faith.
Our church body is located in the picturesque town of Port Angeles, WA, “Where the Mountains Greet the Sea”. While Port Angeles is a small community, we are located in the heart of the Olympic Peninsula which is home to roughly 50,000 people. |
